Thick and Chewy M&M Cookie Bars

OK, first let me just say that these posts won't ALL be food.  I promise!  I just happen to love food.  A lot.

This is one from my Sweets Board that I baked back in March for a friend.  I didn't actually get to taste these because I thought it would be rude to give her a pan of blondies with a big chunk missing ;)
She - and her family - seemed to like them though!

They were pretty easy to make and the clean-up was easy because you line the baking pan in foil first.

Best pot roast EVER?

You get a twofer today because its Sunday, I have a sick kid so I couldn't go anywhere and I was hungry!  This recipe comes from my Crockpot Recipes board.  I'm loving my crockpot (crock pot?) these days.  Its so easy and usually anything that comes out of it is pretty tasty.  I am NO cook.  I actually hate cooking.  The easier the recipe, the better.  This one was pretty darn easy!

This pin says its The Best Pot Roast....EVER!
The claim:  "It is SO GOOD, SO EASY, and SO TENDER!!"
The actual link:   You're Too Crafty
The ingredients:
- McCormicks slower cooker Savory Pot Roast season packet
- An AuJus packet
- A Can of Pepsi
- Boneless Pot Roast
- I also added a couple of cloves of garlic even though the recipe didn't call for it.
- Your crock pot

Eight hours later you're supposed to have an amazing pot roast.  Well, it was good.  I don't know if I'd go with the best EVER but it was tender and had a good flavor.  Next time I think I would add some veggies to the crock pot though.  You couldn't taste the Pepsi at all but the gravy was good on mashed potatoes.

The hubby even ate it without making any faces which is a plus!  I'd make it again.

Who dosen't love BACON?

This one is from my Breakfast Board.  I love bacon but I hate to cook it.  Its messy and I usually burn it.  This seems like a great recipe because it claims that there is basically no clean-up and the bacon cooks perfectly.

I bring you...Cook Bacon in the Oven!
The claim:  " About 10 min on 400. Cover the cookie sheet with foil...So much easier than the stove top and no splatter! Easy clean up too!"
The actual link: Martha Stewart's "Less Mess Bacon"

My experience:
The trick here is NOT to preheat the oven.  Put the bacon in a cold oven and then turn it on.

I left the bacon in for more like 20 minutes.  You can eyeball it.

It was a little crunchy and a little chewy.  The perfect bacon!!  Clean up was pretty easy.  I let the bacon grease cool and harden a little on the tinfoil and rolled it up and threw it out.  Done!

This Pin was definitely a success and one I will be using again!
